Dodgers Lose to Stingers, 2-1
|
Toledo beat Brooklyn at Pacesetter Park, eking out a 2-1 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Bailey Borrett, who earned player of the game honors. Toledo has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
One important at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the fourth inning. Facing Brooklyn hurler Ken Grant, Anselmo Berneu, who is tied for 10th in the 3L with a .522 slugging percentage, drew a walk. The Stingers went on to win.
"I like what I saw today," said Toledo manager TJ Reynolds, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
