Alexander Shines in Piranhas Win
Panama City and Montana met at Panda Park in front of a lively crowd.

The Panama City Piranhas knocked off the Montana Pandas, 13-7, at Panda Park. Blaze Alexander, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Panama City won. The first baseman went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 4 runs and drove in 2. Will Hunting, who went 6.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 4 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 6. His record now stands at 9-6.

Panama City used the clutch hitting of William Penn to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Piranhas the lead, 4-3. For the game, Penn had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Alexander.

With the win, the Piranhas improved to 46-38.
