Had Kameron Guangorena not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Guangorena hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Evergreens.

"This is a very good team," said Poulter. "We have the chance to do something special."
