The Portland Evergreens went home winners at The Voodoo Lounge, thanks in large part to starter Robert Smalls. Smalls silenced the New Orleans Voodoo, enabling Portland to grab the 4-1 win. At 37-28, the Evergreens find themselves in 5th place in the Premier League.

Tetsu Matsumoto put Portland in front, 4-1, when he took Pablo Molina downtown. His 2-run home run came with one out in the top of the sixth. It was his 25th home run of the season.

"It's a mindset," said Smalls. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
