Lakers Get Road Win, 6-4
|
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
The Nashville Outlaws got a superb performance from designated hitter Broderick Sarcoma. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Echo Park. The Lakers won the game, 6-4. In spite of the loss, Sarcoma was named the player of the game. He went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Francisco Esposo earned the save, his 2nd, for the Lakers.
The result might have been different for Echo Park, had it not been for Philip Todd, the 25-year old left fielder . Todd stroked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put Echo Park up, 2-0. For the game, he had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Todd said after the game.
Echo Park has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
