Panama City withstood an impressive performance by Montana right fielder Bharti Mona to defeat the Pandas, 6-4, at Panda Park. Mona slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Gunner Cross picked up the save for Panama City, his 8th of the year. The Pandas, now 21-31, have lost 5 straight.

Panama City used the clutch hitting of Carsello Scruggins to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to give the Piranhas the lead, 3-2. For the game, Scruggins had 1 single and 2 doubles in 5 at-bats.

In postgame remarks, Scruggins said: "To all who've been doubting my effort -- I hope they saw this game."
