The inspired effort of Toledo second baseman Adam Clements was not enough to prevent a 8-7 loss to the Pittsburgh Kingfishers. Clements was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Joe Khokar got credit for the save for Pittsburgh. It was his 5th of the year. The win puts the Kingfishers at 27-24, while the Stingers drop to 30-21.

Pittsburgh catcher Junior Young made his contribution to the Kingfishers cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third inning. For the day, Young was 1-4.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Young.
