The Pittsburgh Kingfishers topped the Toledo Stingers, 6-5, in Menard's Third League action at Pittsburgh Grounds. The player of the game was Pittsburgh pitcher and Panchiao, Taiwan native Zhao-ji Qiu. Qiu picked up the win for Pittsburgh, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 4 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 3-3. With the win over Toledo, the Kingfishers improved to 26-23.

Rafael Abasto drove in one run for Pittsburgh. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Craig Fitzgerald. It was his 39th RBI of the season.
