Coyotes Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Blitzkrieg
|
Hamilton beat Port Huron at Port Huron Park, eking out a 3-2 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Jesús Castillo, who earned player of the game honors. Castillo picked up the win for Hamilton, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 1-10. Earning his 4th save for Hamilton was Hansky Paillant.
The result might have been different for Hamilton, had it not been for Aristotle Auer, the 27-year old second baseman . Auer stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put Hamilton up, 3-2. For the game, he had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Hamilton manager Steven Hodnett.
The Coyotes now have a record of 16-58 with the win over Port Huron.
