Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Jiro Miyake, the Vermont Lake Monsters defeated the Tortolita Drummers, 8-4. Miyake was 2-3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for the Lake Monsters. Vermont reliever Jesús Fregaso was the winner. His record is now 5-1. The losing pitcher was Nobuhito Tanaka.
