Lake Monsters Come Back Late to Top Blitzkrieg
The Lake Monsters grabbed a win, 7-3, at Port Huron Park, overcoming a fine effort from Port Huron pitcher Arlen Chesnutt. Chesnutt went 6 innings and allowed no earned runs. Vermont reliever Alejandro Araya picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Armando Garay took the loss. Vermont is 5th in the Silver AAA with a record of 34-35.

Vermont took a 4-1 lead on Junya Furuya's 59th hit of the season. The 2-run single, which Furuya hit in the top of the eighth, left Port Huron pitcher Doug Lane visibly frustrated.

"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Furuya told the Vermont News.
