Loss Extends Hamilton Losing Streak
|
The Florida Men defeated the Hamilton Coyotes, 7-2, in USSL Triple A action at Coyote Wildlife Refuge, with Florida pitcher Enrique Cruz named player of the game. Cruz went 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 3, and struck out 11. His record improves to 7-5. Earning his 2nd save for Florida was Marty McFly.
Florida relied on the hitting of Pellervo Rintanen to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Men on top, 2-0. For the game, Rintanen had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"Enjoyed this one," Cruz told the Florida Bulletin. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
The last-place Coyotes have dropped 11 straight games.
