Supernovas Run Win Streak to 7
|
Scranton rode a decent outing from starter Oliver Rodríguez to victory over the Hamilton Coyotes at Coyote Wildlife Refuge. The final score was 5-4. Scranton reliever Suezo Amano was the winner. His record is now 5-2. Guy Walters took the loss. Thomas Sangrey, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 15th save.
Scranton used the bat of Phil Moore to get the win. The first baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Supernovas ahead, 5-2. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"Enjoyed this one," Moore told the Scranton Observer. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
The first-place Supernovas have won 7 in a row.
