Drummers Rally For Late Win Over Blitzkrieg
The Drummers had to overcome a fine effort from Port Huron pitcher Arlen Chesnutt to grab a narrow 5-4 win at Port Huron Park. Chesnutt went 6.1 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. The winner was Gabriel Leeds in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Daryl Dwyer took the loss. The Drummers own a robust 39-20 mark.

Tortolita used the timely hitting of Peter Holland to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Drummers on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Holland told the Tortolita Bulletin.
