In a tight battle between the Scranton Supernovas and the Hartford Pride, pitcher Luis Sastre was in the zone. The Scranton right-hander was named the player of the game in Scranton's 2-0 win. Sastre got the win, improving to 5-1. He allowed 5 hits and walked 1 over 5 innings. Sastre allowed no earned runs. Thomas Sangrey locked down his 14th save.
Guan-pei Bei, the Scranton left fielder, contributed a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth inning to make the score 2-0, Supernovas. For the game, Bei was 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Luis was pounding the zone," said Scranton manager Craig Stewart.
