Redbirds Jolt Men with Late Rally
|
Memphis right-hander Boris Milatovic was sensational in shutting out the Florida Men, 2-0. The save was credited to Karisnu Raghunathan, his 1st. Florida is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.
The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Fraser Childs came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Florida pitcher Marty McFly, he hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring double. It was a game-changer, putting Memphis on top, 1-0.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Milatovic.
