No-Hitter for Matson
The Buffalo White Walkers relied on no-hit stuff from starter Eric Matson to defeat the Hollywood Shredders 1-0 at Beyond the Wall today.

"It's quite a thrill," Matson told the media afterward. "This is a top-notch league. A no-hitter against any team in the league is something special. I can't believe I did it."

To get his name logged in the United States Premier League records, he stopped Hollywood cold and hitless, surrendering 2 walks and fanning 6 of the 30 batters he faced.

Buffalo manager Chris Lau was in a jovial mode after the game, kidding with reporters that Matson "made managing easy today."

"I didn't have hardly any decisions to make like I usually do," he said. "I didn't even have to come up with a pinch hitter."

This season to date Matson has a record of 8 wins and 4 losses with a 2.55 ERA, has appeared in 13 games and struck out 63 in 99 innings.
