Strachota Slugs Lake Monsters to 12-7 Win
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Todd Strachota, the Vermont Lake Monsters defeated the Port Huron Blitzkrieg, 12-7. Strachota belted 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Lake Monsters. The Lake Monsters saw their record improve to 25-27.

Strachota contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Vermont in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 6-4, Strachota took a forkball from Mike Bennett and stroked the home run to right. His 10th home run of the season allowed the Lake Monsters to leap in front, 7-6.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Strachota told the Vermont News.
