The Hialeah Dodos topped the Scranton Supernovas by the score of 7-4, with the largest share of the credit going to shortstop Richard Edwards. Edwards went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Dodos. Henry Henry, credited with the win, is now 4-0. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in 3.2 innings. John Stevens earned his 8th save in 9 tries.
Alfonso Cabedo had a big run-scoring single for the Dodos in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Hialeah leading 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Suezo Amano and stroked the single to center. It was his 41st hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Dodos ahead, 4-2.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Edwards said.
The Dodos, at 24-17, sit in third place in the Silver AAA.
