Lake Monsters Drop Another One
Tortolita Drummers starter Cisco Pérez turned in an exceptional performance against the Vermont Lake Monsters at Drummers Ballpark, resulting in a Tortolita win, 2-1. Austin Aries earned the save, his 3rd. The losses continue to pile up for Vermont, which has now fallen 9 times in a row.

Tso-i Wang had a big run-scoring triple for the Drummers in the bottom of the third inning. With Tortolita leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Keith Lawrence and stroked the triple to right-center. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Drummers ahead, 2-0.

"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Juan Rodríguez.
