Drummers Come Up Short at Hialeah
|
The Hialeah Dodos downed the Tortolita Drummers, 5-4, at Dodos Ballpark. The Dodos were led by Dallas McMurran, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. At 11-13, the Dodos find themselves in 6th place in the Silver AAA.
McMurran contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Hialeah in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 3-2, McMurran took a slider from Zalontae Hillary and stroked the home run to right. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Dodos to leap in front, 4-3.
"We'll enjoy this win," said McMurran. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
