The Port Huron Blitzkrieg topped the Memphis Redbirds, 8-5, in USSL Triple A action at Lansing Park. The player of the game was Port Huron pitcher and Cayetano Germosén, Dominican Republic native Sergio Gallegos. With the win, Port Huron boosts its record to 8-11.

Port Huron used the timely hitting of Jeff Reed to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Blitzkrieg ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was an important one.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Reed.
