Blitzkrieg Topple Coyotes as Bando Shines
The Port Huron Blitzkrieg defeated the Hamilton Coyotes, 8-7, at Port Huron Park. Port Huron third baseman Mitsuhide Bando was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 2 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Armando Garay got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. The Coyotes fall to 7-9 and continue to sputter in the early going.

Bando had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-0 cutter from Jacob Messer, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Blitzkrieg a 8-7 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Bando.

"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Bando told the Port Huron Daily. "You win just by scoring more runs."
