The Bloomington Longnecks beat the Syracuse Starks, 9-3, at Lookouts Ballpark. The Longnecks got a fine performance from left fielder Vicente Gomillion, who captured player of the game honors. He went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Bloomington now has a 3-game win streak.

The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth when Gomillion, who is tied for 3rd in the PAAA in home runs with 23, hit a grand slam home run. It propelled the Longnecks into the lead, 7-3.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Gomillion.
