Hialeah right fielder Juan Reyes had a good game, even if his team did not. The Dodos dropped a 6-5 decision to Port Huron at Port Huron Park. Reyes hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Armando Garay got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. The Blitzkrieg have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 3rd win in 11 games.
Shun Fukui had a nice at-bat for the Blitzkrieg with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, the shortstop drew a walk, which would prove important in the Port Huron win.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Fukui said in his postgame press conference.
