Warriors Bang Out 6-2 Win Versus Syracuse

Forest City rode a good effort from starter Clarence Miller to beat the Syracuse Starks at Stark Stadium. The final score was 6-2. Miller, now 8-3, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 10, walking 1, and allowing 2 earned runs. The Warriors sit in third place in the Premier AAA with a record of 53-40.
Forest City relied on the hitting of Pedro Guerrero to pick up the win. The designated hitter ripped a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put the Warriors on top, 2-0. For the game, Guerrero had 1 triple and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"I thought we played a nice game," Guerrero told the Forest City Gazette. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
