Warriors Solve Longnecks, 6-2
|
Forest City Warriors starter Wilson Alindogan was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Bloomington Longnecks, 6-2. Forest Bell, credited with the save, is now 3 for 4 in save opportunities. The Warriors now own a record of 52-38.
The Warriors beat the Longnecks in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out double Felix Plugge produced in the bottom of the second. Batting against Bloomington pitcher Cheung Wuying, Plugge gave his team a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run double.
"I thought we played a nice game," Alindogan told the Forest City Gazette. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
