Port Royal shortstop Seung-soo Ch'ae was sensational. He went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 3 times and drove in 2, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Baton Rouge beat the Disaster, 8-5. Ch'ae was named the player of the game despite the loss. Baton Rouge now sits at 47-43, while Port Royal falls to 37-53.
Baton Rouge needed the clutch hitting of Stephen Goldobenko to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Brass on top, 5-2. For the game, Goldobenko had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Goldobenko told the Baton Rouge Bulletin.
