Drummers Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
The first-place Tortolita Drummers welcomed Port Huron to Drummers Ballpark.
The Tortolita Drummers topped the Port Huron Blitzkrieg, 6-2, with second baseman Keiran Calleson playing a big role. Calleson was 3 for 4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Drummers in the win. Scott Thompson was the winning pitcher. Over 6 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts.
Calleson had a big at-bat with a runner on 3rd in the bottom of the fourth inning, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Drummers went on to win.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Tortolita manager Barrett Abbott.
The loss drops Port Huron to 1-3.
