Blitzkrieg Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
The Memphis Redbirds and Port Huron Blitzkrieg were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd at Lansing Park.

With designated hitter Juan Amengual leading the charge, the Port Huron Blitzkrieg defeated the Memphis Redbirds, 7-3, at Lansing Park. Amengual was 3 for 5 with 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Arlen Chesnutt got the win, improving to 1-0. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 8 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 2.

Andy Garnet chipped in for Port Huron, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning. For the game, the first baseman went 1 for 3 with a walk.

"We played hard and won," said Amengual. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'

With the loss, Memphis is 2-1.
