The Pawnee ParksNRec launched their 2042 campaign with a victory over the Scranton Supernovas at Whips Ballpark. Pawnee right fielder Josh Mawdesley was instrumental in the 11-3 win. He was 4 for 5 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 runs.

One the game's most dramatic moments benefited Pawnee. In the top of the fourth, Luis Rodríguez took a 1-2 changeup and hit a 2-run single, putting Scranton up, 5-2. The lead, though, would not hold up.
