Hamilton Raps Alaskan for 5 Hits
After a 5-hit effort to lead Forest City's 8-6 victory over the Alaskan Humpbacks, catcher Sam Hamilton told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day."

"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the USPL Triple A-level is really something special."

The 24-year-old player earned his accolades today at Sea World with a spectacular 5-for-5 game against the Humpbacks.

"His swing is getting there," said Warriors skipper Ramón Pantoja, who spoke glowingly of Hamilton after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Sam did that to perfection today."

Sam Hamilton singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 10th.

This year Hamilton is hitting at a .258 pace with 1 home run and 13 RBIs. He has played in 28 games and scored 11 times.
