Alaskan played host to Syracuse at the friendly confines of Sea World.
The Alaskan Humpbacks did just enough to secure a 5-4 victory over the Syracuse Starks at Sea World. Nobody did more than pitcher Claudio Gonzáles, who captured player of the game honors. Ken Bates earned his 3rd save in 3 tries.
Pat Pending, the Alaskan left fielder, contributed a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fifth inning to make the score 2-1, Humpbacks. For the game, Pending went 1-3 with a double.
"We take it day by day here," said Pending, "and today was a good one for us."
Alaskan has an impressive 55-18 record.
