Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Shuckers

Biloxi right-hander Kevin Hamm helped his team edge Tacoma by the score of 3-2. Hamm kept the opposing lineup in check. Richard Surgener got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.1 innings. The Shuckers saw their record improve to 16-15.
The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Randy Moore came to bat in the bottom of the tenth. Facing Tacoma pitcher Luke Fitzgerald, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Biloxi on top, 3-2.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Moore.
