Whales Rally For Late Win Over Saboteurs

Virginia Beach Whales starter Daryl Benstead was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Toledo Saboteurs, 4-1. Virginia Beach reliever Calvin Blackburn picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Tetsuzan Miyata shouldered the loss. António Arrojo got the save, the 8th for him this season.
Virginia Beach needed the clutch hitting of Juan Oleastro to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Whales on top, 3-1. For the game, Oleastro had 1 home run and 1 single in 2 at-bats.
Oleastro called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
Virginia Beach is now 18-13, while Toledo is 18-13.
