Sacramento Redlegs starter Gustavo Molina turned in a top-notch performance against the Plymouth Rocks at Plymouth Quarry. The result was a win for the Redlegs, 4-0. Molina got the win, improving to 3-5. He allowed 3 hits and walked 4 over 6.2 innings. Molina allowed no earned runs. The Redlegs are now 31-33, while the Rocks fall to 33-31.

Sacramento used the timely hitting of Paulino Gómez to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Redlegs on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I thought we played a nice game," Gómez told the Sacramento Daily. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
