Morgan 3-3 to Pull Longnecks to .500

Behind a solid performance from third baseman Craig Morgan, the Bloomington Longnecks defeated the Baton Rouge Brass, 9-1. Morgan was 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the Longnecks. Domingo Montémayor earned the win for Bloomington. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 1 earned run on 5 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 4-6. With the win over Baton Rouge, the Longnecks improved to 31-31.
Morgan came through with some timely hitting for Bloomington. With the score 1-0 in the bottom of the first and one down, Morgan hit a 2-1 fastball for a 2-run double. His 5th double of the season made it 3-0, Bloomington.
