Disaster Stick Humpbacks with 8-2 Loss
|
Bryant Dixon left his imprint on the 8-2 Port Royal win against the Alaskan Humpbacks. Dixon went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Júlio Díaz was the winner. Over 6 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 2 hits, with 4 walks and 1 strikeout. José Díaz recorded the save for Port Royal, his 2nd of the season.
With Port Royal leading 4-2 in the top of the fourth, Dixon hit a fastball from Claudio Gonzáles for a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Disaster ahead, 7-2.
"We came out aggressive," said Disaster manager Soseki Matsunaga. "We came out swinging the bats."
With the victory, the Disaster record now stands at 23-38.
