Starks Fall Short at Forest City
|
The Forest City Warriors topped the Syracuse Starks, 8-7, with center fielder Danny Rodríguez playing a big role. Rodríguez went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Warriors in the win. Forest City reliever Wiley Washington picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Jeffery Brock took the loss. Syracuse is in the throes of a 12-game losing streak.
Charlie Cummings took Jeffery Brock deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 2-run home run put the Warriors on top, 8-7. In all, Cummings had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
