Despite a fine performance by second baseman Tony Calhoun, the New Orleans Voodoo suffered a 4-3 loss to the Portland Evergreens. Calhoun went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Jason Poulter earned the win to go to 6-3. He allowed 2 earned runs on 7 hits, with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. Joo-hyun Pak was called on to finish, recording his 13th save.

Kameron Guangorena went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Portland. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off David Flowers. It was his 33rd RBI of the season.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Guangorena said.

Portland occupies 6th place in the Premier League at 25-22.
