Biloxi Shuckers starter Kevin Hamm turned in an exceptional performance against the Casper Ghosts at The Pizza Oven, resulting in a Biloxi win, 3-2. Luis Valdés, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save. The 7th-place Shuckers have won 4 consecutive games.

Biloxi took a 3-0 lead on Rickard Busald's 23rd hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Busald hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Casper pitcher Darrell Bannatyne visibly frustrated.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Hamm told the Biloxi Daily News.
