|
Plymouth right-hander Shem Burkholder made an effective start against the Bloomington Longnecks at Lookouts Ballpark, leading his team to a 3-2 win. Burkholder picked up the win for Plymouth, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. Earning his 5th save of the year was Josh Brennan.
It could have been a different outcome for Plymouth, had it not been for Elias den Blick, the 24-year old third baseman . den Blick contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Plymouth up, 3-0.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Plymouth manager José Reyes. "It's usually not just one thing."
