Elias den Blick had a good game, but he could not keep the Plymouth Rocks from falling, 6-5, to the Sacramento Redlegs at Plymouth Quarry. The Plymouth third baseman was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once in the loss. The 4th-place Redlegs have won 5 in a row.
Sacramento took a 6-5 lead on Qian-fu Zhou's 42nd hit of the season. The 2-run single, which Zhou hit in the top of the eighth, left Plymouth pitcher Josh Brennan shaking his head.
"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Sacramento manager Marshall Edwards.
