Extra-Inning Win by Evergreens over Voodoo

The 2042 season is getting ugly for New Orleans.
The Portland Evergreens picked up a win at The Voodoo Lounge, knocking off the New Orleans Voodoo, 7-5. Starting pitcher Robert Smalls, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Today's win puts Portland at 24-22, while New Orleans falls to 14-32.
Portland needed the clutch hitting of Yosuke Daisen to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Evergreens on top, 7-4. For the game, Daisen had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Daisen said.
