The inspired effort of Port Royal first baseman Michael Brannon was not enough to prevent a 7-6 loss to the Baton Rouge Brass. Brannon hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Juichi Kanno earned the win for Baton Rouge. He lasted 5 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 5 hits, while striking out 0. With the win, he raised his record to 3-0.
