Ghosts Walk Off with Win
Starting pitcher Mark Smith pitched well enough to help the Casper Ghosts beat the Tacoma Fur Traders by the score of 5-4. The win was Ernest Wheeler's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Ricky Mina took the loss for Tacoma. The Fur Traders, now 4-16, continue their poor start.

Izaak Gerkis was the walk-off hero for Casper. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Ghosts first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Gerkis told the Casper Citizen.
