The Lancaster Farmers got a strong performance from pitcher John Jamieson, who stymied the Tacoma offense en route to a 4-1 win at Ballpark of Tacoma. The winning pitcher was Jamieson, now 2-0. He tossed 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 3. With the win, Lancaster is 11-7.
The result might have been different for Lancaster, had it not been for Archie Pittman, the former first round draft pick . Pittman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put Lancaster up, 1-0. For the game, he had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Tacoma skipper Elliott Taylor, "and it cost us."
