Humpbacks Win Another One
|
The Alaskan Humpbacks knocked off the Port Royal Disaster, 13-3, at Ballpark of Port Royal. Carlos Castro, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Alaskan won. The designated hitter went 1-2 with 4 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Port Royal has now lost 5 in a row.
Alaskan used the timely hitting of António Etxebarria to capture the win. The shortstop socked a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Humpbacks ahead, 6-1. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"Everyone's trying too hard," said losing manager Soseki Matsunaga. "If we learn to relax, we'll be fine."
