The Port Royal Disaster and Sacramento Redlegs brought some excitement to Sacramento Sanitation Station.
Sacramento Redlegs starter Don Johnson kept the Port Royal Disaster hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-2 win. Johnson, the winner, moves to 1-2. He threw 5 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 6 walks.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and one out in the bottom of the fifth inning. That's when first baseman Gabriel Anaya, who is tied for 7th in the PAAA with a .962 OPS, drew a walk. The Redlegs went on to win.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Anaya told the Sacramento Daily.
Sacramento is now 14-12. Port Royal is 11-15.
