The Sacramento Redlegs defeated the Plymouth Rocks, 5-4. Earning player of the game honors was third baseman Jaime Burgos, who was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Gonzalo Rossi got the win, improving to 2-1. He held the Rocks to 4 earned runs on 5 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 0 and walking 3. With the victory, the Redlegs record now stands at 13-10.
Lautaro Lacasa was 1 for 3 for Sacramento. In the bottom of the fourth, with the teams deadlocked, 4-4, Lacasa delivered for the Redlegs. His run-scoring sacrifice fly put Sacramento on top, 5-4.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Lacasa told the Sacramento Daily.
